Lost Souls of Sunset started as a screenplay, shopped the way you’re supposed to. Hollywood passed — too much faith. The Christian studios passed too — too much grit, too much real life.

C. A. Valley and his wife started Waterchase Publishing themselves. What began as one book has grown into a small, husband-and-wife-run team dedicated to creating stories that are honest about both the faith and the grit — published as they happened, with nothing softened out.

Also on the staff is Clyde, Head of Security & Snuggle Time. His main responsibilities are to alert the team when anyone drives down the road and when it’s time to close the laptops and take a break. Clyde’s duties include barking at cars that pass by or bears that stroll down the road, and giving snuggles throughout the day. He hasn’t actually read either book, but fully supports the mission and values of Waterchase Publishing.
